Working on how to present an estimate! Students will be working on Garrett Youth Baseball Concession stand.  They will be estimating the project for our purpose and building it for the community!  Fun Stuff!!

Open House!

Open house today at the project house has been awesome!  I was able to meet the families that go with the kids!  Hope every one enjoyed the home! Wait until you see it finished in late May!!!!

We are getting closer all the time, the finish trim carpentry work is almost done! Students have done a great job! We are now working on caulking the trim and finishing the columns that will decorate the opening to the sunroom! The column on the left is complete, working on the other.

Update Status!

Within the week, the students should finish up the installation of all trim and doors.  We are currently working on some detail: Crown Molding, Pillars, Casing, and Base Board.  Next week we will begin the finishing process, all wood work will have to be caulked and sealed to the walls.  Then let the paint begin!!

Largest class I have ever had! Students are doing so well, I love how we are all able to get along and work together. That really says a lot about our students at GKB! Building trades is a great environment for students to relax, learn, and BUILD A HOUSE! What a lab environment. Thanks to all who make it possible.
